Founded by CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Tim Smith and his family in 2022

The Financial Dad was born after Tim was discussing college education and financial literacy with his children.

He realized there was a big gap in the education space for young people, especially his own children, to understand budgeting, 401k, saving money, investment strategies and more.

Together with his 2 daughters, he decided to transpose his 35+ year career in financial services to create a comprehensive program for young adults, students and millennials.

After surveying thousands of students, we found that most students learn from podcasts, videos and interview content these days.

The Financial Dad was born to bridge the gap in financial literacy education by providing content the way people actually want to learn.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

The Financial Dad turns what you would think are incredibly complicated concepts into feasible tasks. I never thought anything tax-related would be simple, but they break it down to the point where even if it’s your first time hearing the words, you can really understand the topics.

I have truly found that The Financial Dad breaks down financial concepts in a way that I can comprehend and apply to my current financial situations as a college student and part-time worker. As someone who is nearing my first full-time job search and my first experience of financial independence, The Financial Dad provides easy-to-learn information on vital concepts for this crucial time in my life.
